Info about fishing at Holtug Kalkbrud
The bottom varies a lot in terms of water depths. Therefore, be careful when wading and use a wading rod. Holtug is a very exciting summer place - a fishery that many overlook. But just this place has given many fish between 3-6 kilos in the summer nights. Spring and autumn must be fished with long-throwing lures, as sea trout often move further out. Eastern winds will result in drifting eelgrass and makes the water cloudy and plump due to lime and thus destroys fishing.
